Emmanuel Olivier and Index+ Founders Relaunch MICROÏDS

Paris, France, November 28, 2007 – The Index+ team, under the direction of Emmanuel Olivier, today re-launched the creation and production of video games under the brand MICROÏDS.

Created in 1984, MICROÏDS is a pioneer in the video game industry. As a producer and publisher of video games, MICROÏDS has one of the world’s largest adventure catalogues, bringing together titles from Index+, Wanadoo Edition and MICROÏDS. International successes include Still Life, Syberia (adventures of Kate Walker), Amerzone and Dracula.

Based in Montreal and Paris, MICROÏDS focuses on collaborating and integrating on an international level – with the goal of designing interactive games reflective of the francophone culture. The objective is to adapt to globalization while preserving the uniqueness of the culture.

“Our vision at MICROÏDS goes beyond mere entertainment. We hope to reinforce the social ties and push the limits of collective imagination and the intelligence,” explains Emmanuel Olivier.

MICROÏDS already works with labels and creative talents such as Tetraedge, Kheops Studio, Game Consulting and Benoît Sokal (White Birds), and hopes to continue these successful collaborations in the spirit of sharing the vision of creating original content.

Today, MICROÏDS also announced the launch of its new Internet site at www.microids.com. The site includes new adventure game productions, a complete game catalogue and an online store. The site will soon be expanded to include more videos, such as trailers and teasers, as well as game riddles and solutions.
